Advisory members will generally be selected to represent particular knowledge or expertise deemed helpful to the history and mission of an organization and shall serve as consultants to the executive committee and/or board of directors.

Home Builders Association of the Fox Cities (HBAFC) board of directors is recommending modifying the bylaws to allow for the appointment of Advisory Members when needed to assist on the executive committee and/or board of directors as follows. Inclusion to the bylaws is as follows:

The HBAFC Executive Committee (EC) may appoint HBAFC members in good standing, and of the Builder or Industry Partner membership category to an Advisory Member position/role on the EC. The EC will establish the length of time for this position/role and can be extended or terminated by the EC at any time.

The HBAFC Board of Directors (BOD) may appoint HBAFC members in good standing, and of the Builder or Industry Partner membership category to an Advisory Member position/role on the BOD. The BOD will establish the length of time for this position/role and can be extended or terminated by the BOD at any time.

Advisory Members may serve on both the EC and BOD simultaneously. Advisory Members do not have voting rights on the executive committee and/or board of directors.

This classification is an addition to the Board of Directors and Officers sections in the bylaws and requires a vote by the membership to solidify. Therefore, please review the Board’s recommendation and submit your vote below by Mar. 30, 2022.

*Only the HBAFC Member of Record of each Builder and Industry Partner membership classification is eligible to vote. To vote, members must be in good standing with HBAFC. Each such member may cast one vote. Additional Employee members are not eligible to vote. Proxy voting is not allowed.
