Cathy Skell was a long-time member and valued HBAFC employee. Cathy was well known for her warmth, dedication, ability to bring people together and her humor. Her impact on our association and industry continues to be felt even after her passing. And though we know she definitely would have had an opinion about us fussing over her like this, and likely a comment about our photo selection, we are honored to celebrate her legacy in this small way.
In 2025, HBAFC reintroduced a member benefit to honor the legacy of former HBAFC employee Cathy Skell. In 2016, Cathy envisioned and successfully facilitated morning networking events that brought our members and invited speakers together to share ideas, discuss industry trends, and build lasting professional relationships. And Cathy knew the perfect recipe for a great conversation: caffeine and connections.
